About Wei

Wei Liu, from Beijing, China P.R.,
is doing his PhD in the ID-StudioLab (studiolab.io.tudelft.nl/) within the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering at Delft University of Technology (home.tudelft.nl/en/) in the Netherlands (2009.09-now). The PhD project focuses on developing new user interface for the so-called 'Generation Y' office workers.

Wei worked as a user experience designer at Core Engineer Group at Autodesk in Shanghai, China (2008.02-2009.08). He led design projects for new features and tools in AutoCAD and other platform products. To solve customer problems, he communicated design ideas to technical audiences through illustrations, presentations, specifications, and other clear descriptive languages. Prior to Autodesk, Wei was an interaction designer at Consumer experience Department at Motorola in Beijing, China (2006.09-2008.02). He employed a user centered design process and had responsibility for providing good user experience for Motorola's touch-screen smart phones.

Wei joined IT Product Design Master at University of Southern Denmark (2004.09-2006.06). His study focused on design research, user centered design, and user experience design. Before this education, he was trained as an industrial designer at Beijing University of Technology in China (2000.09-2004.07).
